My name is Morgan Goin and I'm a Mission Designer at Arkane Studios - Austin. I'm a level designer with a focus on scripting, gameplay, cinematics, prototyping mechanics, and anything else my teammates need.
I've always had a passion for video games but the one that really got me into games was Neverwinter Nights; I would spend hours and hours playing and replaying a scene or fight in a game just to pick apart the different possible outcomes and triggers. |
I went to Texas A&M University to study archaeology. I spent four years studying psychology, evolutionary biology, behavior, and culture; essentially, how people are and how they interact with stuff, either physical or metaphorical. Funnily enough, these are the same fields that developers look to when designing a game!
After getting my bachelors, I realized that although I could do the work, it wasn't making me happy. I decided to change fields and work on something challenging and interesting: video game design. |
